I’m a big fan of Adam Carolla. I just admire the hell out of the guy. I’d be happy if I had just a sliver of the courage and conviction Carolla has demonstrated and documented to such great detail on his former radio show(s), current podcast, and various other endeavors of past and present. He is, of course, first and foremost, a massively talented comedian but to me he is much, much more. Yesterday evening the Globe and Mail published a report pertaining to the Atlanta Thrashers. Here’s what’s important:
An agreement to sell the National Hockey League’s Atlanta Thrashers to a Winnipeg group which plans to relocate the franchise to the Manitoba capital is done.
That’s unequivocal language. The article goes on to say Gary Bettman is expected to travel to Winnipeg in a few days and that the sale was approved by the NHL board of governors months prior. » Read the rest of this entry «

It’s interesting; this off-season has been built up for months. Not looming, as it perhaps had been in past years, but refreshingly open and promising. The idea of the Sabres organization changing their identity from a risk standpoint is very exciting to me. The Future of Drew Stafford

I think after all the dust settles, Drew Stafford will remain a member of the Buffalo Sabres. I’m expecting a 3 or 4 year contract with a cap hit of around 4.5 million. I’m okay with it, honestly. I like Stafford. He proved a lot to me last season. I’m sold on his ability to score at a rate that justifies a contract of that salary and term.
